Areas of Practice

Harleen Grewal is a summer student at Ross Nasseri LLP. She is a tenacious advocate who approaches difficult problems with creativity and thoughtfulness.

As a second-year J.D. candidate at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Harleen has developed a strong interest in oral advocacy through her mooting experience. She competed in the Tort Law Moot Competition Program, where she and her partner were awarded the Best Factum Prize. She has also refined her research and writing skills as Senior Associate Editor for the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review and as Bench Clerk for the 2025 Grand Moot.

Outside the classroom, Harleen is committed to increasing access to justice. Through her work at the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights and Research Assistant for the Animal Agriculture Accountability Project at Yale Law School, she has examined how strategic advocacy can advance the interests of marginalized groups. She has also contributed to practical legal initiatives in Toronto, including launching two legal clinics for underserved communities during her time as Program Coordinator at Pro Bono Students Canada.

Prior to law school, Harleen graduated with High Distinction from Wilfrid Laurier University’s Lazaridis School of Business & Economics, earning a B.B.A. with a concentration in Finance. Her early professional experience as a buy-side equity research analyst has shaped her approach to building well-supported arguments that withstand scrutiny.
