We have a broad civil litigation practice that includes corporate/commercial proceedings and contractual disputes. Whether our client is a person or a company (closely held or publicly traded), we understand the business dynamics and practical realities at play in a dispute. Our mission is to develop a litigation strategy that will get our clients the best result possible, whether in the courtroom or the boardroom. We often get involved before litigation has even been commenced, whether to assist our clients avoid litigation altogether, or to set themselves up for the best possible outcome if litigation is unavoidable.
Our practice in this area includes:
Contractual disputes of every kind including commercial leases, construction/ infrastructure agreements, agreements of purchase and sale, financing agreements, and supply agreements
Cross-border litigation including bringing applications to enforce letters rogatory and foreign judgments, and legal opinions/assistance in foreign proceedings
Employment and contractor disputes including bringing or defending actions for breach of confidence, breach of fiduciary duty, wrongful dismissal and the enforcement of restrictive covenants and non-compete clauses
Director and officer liability
Seeking injunctive relief and other extraordinary remedies including Mareva and Anton Piller orders
Disputes regarding breach of confidence and improper use of trade secrets
Litigating in domestic arbitrations
