Nailah is a litigator at Ross Nasseri. Nailah is developing a broad practice in civil litigation, with an emphasis on commercial and construction disputes. Nailah has represented corporations, shareholders, subcontractors, contractors and individual owners in complex commercial and construction matters involving contract disputes; shareholder disputes; and construction related delay and payment disputes. Nailah has advocated for clients by appearing before adjudicators, arbitrators, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
Before joining Ross Nasseri, Nailah practiced as a litigator at Gowling WLG. During her time there, she gained experience in complex litigation, arbitrations and adjudications, with a focus on construction, real property, and commercial disputes.
Nailah received her JD from the University of Ottawa in 2022, where she graduated with distinction. During law school, Nailah worked as a legal intern for the Canadian Red Cross through the University of Ottawa’s Pro Bono Students Canada program; worked as a legal research assistant for the Open-Air project for African Innovation Research and Access and Benefit Sharing Canada; and completed a legal internship with the Intellectual Property and Patent Policy division of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.
Before law school, Nailah obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Science (Microbiology and French Studies) and a Master of Arts in French Studies from the University of Guelph. She also interned for the United Nations Association in Canada and sessional lectured at the University of Waterloo.
