Jacob Klugsberg is a litigator at Ross Nasseri. He maintains a general litigation practice with a focus on complex corporate commercial litigation, real estate litigation, appellate litigation, public law, and strategic advice.

Jacob is a skilled negotiator and litigator, known for his ability to achieve favourable outcomes both inside and outside the courtroom. Taking a strategic approach to litigation, Jacob is dedicated to providing his clients with the highest level of service and representation, guiding them through every step of the legal process to obtain the best possible outcomes.

Jacob has extensive experience advising individuals and corporations on a wide variety of matters including contractual disputes, real property disputes, fraud/misrepresentation claims, class actions, shareholder disputes, regulatory and public law matters, professional negligence claims, and parliamentary investigations and inquiries.

Jacob has acted for clients at all levels of Court including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Prior to joining Ross Nasseri, Jacob practiced for five years as a litigator at McCarthy Tétrault, a leading national full-service firm, where he acted for a broad range of corporate and individual clients across a variety of industries.

Jacob is an instructor for the Lawyer as Negotiator Course at Osgoode Hall Law School. He is also a contributing author of the fifth edition of Defending Class Actions in Canada and Virtual Advocacy: Litigating from a Distance, published by Lexis Nexis.

Jacob Klugsberg received his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2018, where he was awarded the Ronald J. Rolls '58 Q.C. Prize for Civil Procedure. Jacob also completed an exchange program at the University of Amsterdam where he studied International Law and Arbitration. During law school, Jacob acted as Osgoode Student Ambassador, Vice-President of the Jewish Law Student Association, a caseworker with the Community Legal Aid Services Programme, and an active member of the competitive mooting program. Jacob represented Osgoode on the Price Media Law Moot team where he advanced to the International Rounds in Oxford, England.

Prior to law school, Jacob obtained a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) from McMaster University, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Jacob was called to the Ontario bar in 2019. Jacob is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers’ Association, and The Advocates’ Society.
