Anna is a litigator at Ross Nasseri LLP. She is a keen and focused advocate with a wide range of experience representing clients in complex civil and commercial cases and providing clients with strategic and risk management advice. In addition to her experience litigating commercial disputes, torts, product liability issues, and class actions, Anna has also advised clients in various stages of procurement and tendering processes with respect to potential bid challenges under both federal and provincial jurisdiction.
Prior to joining Ross Nasseri, Anna practiced for five years in the litigation group at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. During that time, she gained a breadth of experience in complex tort, product liability, and class action proceedings while litigating a wide variety of commercial cases and providing advice regarding regulatory and administrative law issues.
Anna has advised clients in litigation matters at all levels of Court in Ontario, including appeals at Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal, and has represented clients appearing before a number of administrative tribunals. Anna also has experience providing advice in applications for judicial review under the jurisdiction of the Federal Court.
Anna completed her JD at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she was a caseworker and volunteer at Downtown Legal Services, the Faculty's legal clinic. Prior to law school, Anna completed a joint honours program in philosophy and sociology at McGill University, where she earned her BA with first class joint honours with distinction and graduated as the recipient of numerous academic awards for her writing and academic standing.
Anna was called to the bar of Ontario in 2019 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and The Advocates' Society.

- Madsen secured a $1.2 million ODACC Award for an infrastructure construction client, including compensation for delay and return of improperly charged liquidated damages
- Counsel to plaintiffs and defendants in actions arising from breaches of contract, complex tort disputes, and breaches of fiduciary duty, as well as various shareholder disputes.
- Counsel to land developer during arbitration arising from a contractual dispute with a tenant;
- Counsel to clients participating in procurement and tendering processes with provincial and federal procuring entities on legal issues arising during tendering process and potential bid challenges;
- Counsel to the administrator of an employee pension plan in an action against former directors of an international retailer following insolvency, in connection with underfunded liabilities to pensioners;
- Counsel to a second-generation member of a family enterprise in an action concerning corporate governance issues and allegations of breach of fiduciary duties;
- Counsel to the defendant in a class action concerning allegations of negligent design in connection with implanted medical devices;
- Counsel to the defendant in a class action concerning the availability of travel insurance benefits to insureds in connection with insurance claims made during the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Assisting clients with freedom of information requests under Ontario and Federal jurisdiction, including matters on behalf of requestors and submitting representations on behalf of affected parties;
- Internal investigations concerning corporate governance, commercial activities, and labour issues.
