Ross Nasseri LLP’s Justin Nasseri was recently quoted by The Lawyer’s Daily in an article on court backlogs.
The article, which discusses courtroom bottlenecks as a result of COVID-19 measures, suggests that the continuing backlogs have slowed the rate of cases being heard in the Ontario court system.
Nasseri commented on the situation, telling The Lawyer’s Daily that “There’s a scarcity of court time and judicial resources…so many of those hearings and proceedings that were adjourned at the outbreak of the pandemic have now filled up court time in the immediate future, making it difficult to get newer things listed and to get court time.”
