Sarah is a litigator at Ross Nasseri. She is developing a broad civil litigation and regulatory practice and has served as lead counsel on complex commercial matters, a multi-party estates dispute, and real property litigation. Sarah has specific experience representing property development companies in myriad contractual, construction, mortgage enforcement, and regulatory matters.
Sarah has over 15 appearances before the Superior Court of Justice and has represented clients at mediations, arbitrations, and both regulatory and internal investigations. Clients praise Sarah for her attention to detail, sharp legal analysis, excellent communication skills, and practical judgment.
Before joining the firm, Sarah summered and articled at McCarthy Tétrault’s Toronto office. During her time there, Sarah assisted with trials, appeals, motion hearings, and arbitrations, across a range of areas of law including corporate/commercial, medical malpractice, banking and finance, class actions, and defamation.
Sarah received her JD from Queen’s University. While at law school, Sarah was named to the Dean’s Honour List, received course prizes in Evidence and Mental Health Law, as well as the Professor H.R.S. Ryan Scholarship for having the highest standing in Evidence. Sarah discovered her passion for advocacy while mooting. Sarah competed in the Wilson Moot, where her team was awarded the top factum and third place overall. She coached the Wilson Moot team the following year. While at Queen’s, Sarah also volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada, Queens’ Women and the Law, and served as an academic tutor for first-year law students.
Prior to law school, Sarah received a Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) in Psychology from McGill University, where she was named to the Dean’s List. She also worked for a national bank and the Law Society of Ontario.
Sarah was called to the Ontario bar in 2023 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Advocates’ Society, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
