Eric’s success at our firm has been seemingly inevitable. In a decade of practice, he has already established himself as one of the leading litigators in the country. His exemplary work as an advocate, which includes over 65 reported cases, spans corporate/commercial, public/administrative/regulatory, and estates litigation in trials, discipline hearings, arbitrations, and appellate courts. His impressive highlight reel includes winning an oppression trial (2025 ONSC 3644), numerous first instance and appellate victories in a complex partnership dispute that started in the Commercial List Court (2024 ONCA 130, 2024 ONSC 2106), winning a $250M case concerning damages on a failed real estate deal (2022 ONCA 259, leave to appeal to the SCC refused), successfully enforcing a letters rogatory order in a complex, cross-border application (2021 ONSC 2808), and winning an injunction in which virtually every form of extraordinary relief including Mareva, Anton Piller, and Norwich orders were granted (2023 ONSC 2478; see also 2023 ONSC 3517 and 2024 ONSC 1642). Eric also acted as Commission counsel to the Public Order Emergency Commission led by Commissioner Paul Rouleau and was lauded for his thorough witness examinations and legal analysis. Eric’s work has been recognized in the legal industry – he was named as Emerging Talent Litigator of the Year in Ontario in 2023 by Benchmark Litigation, which also ranks Eric as a Future Litigation Star and a leading lawyer under 40. Eric has received accolades and rankings from Best Lawyers in Canada and Lexpert. Most recently, he was included in the Lexpert Special Edition on Litigation for its 2025 guide.
In addition to his advocacy accolades, Eric has also distinguished himself as a leader and law partner. He became an income partner at the firm in 2021 and has been a source of mentorship and guidance for multiple generations of associates at our firm.
